Go2Gate Beta — Walkthrough
You’ve never seen this program before — that’s fine. Here’s what Go2Gate actually is, how to run the beta, what you’re looking at, and where it’s all heading. Read this once and you’ll know your way around.
Go2Gate is three products in one. They stack together to turn your flight-sim collection into a living, talking airline network. The beta you’re downloading is Part One — the foundation the other two are built on.
The Route Map & Flight Board this beta
Your whole sim library drawn as a live map of real-world flights you can actually fly — sorted, filtered by weather, ownership-aware. This is what you’re testing today.

Captain Speaking — the Voices coming · the big one
The reason Go2Gate exists. Every European country gets its own native regional voice reading your pushback and ground calls. Not one generic voice — hundreds of them, by country and accent.
The route map & flight board
Go2Gate looks at the airports and aircraft you own, then shows you real scheduled routes between the airports in your library — so instead of staring at a blank map wondering “where should I fly today”, you get a board of genuine flights, sorted by what’s leaving soonest.
There’s nothing to install — it’s a single file that runs itself.
- Click the Download button on your beta page. You’ll get one file, about 30 MB.
- Double-click it. Windows will probably say “Windows protected your PC — unknown publisher.” That’s normal for a beta that isn’t code-signed yet. Click More info → Run anyway.
- A small black window opens and stays open — that’s the engine. Leave it there (you can minimise it). Closing it quits Go2Gate.
- Your web browser opens automatically to Go2Gate. If it doesn’t, the black window tells you the address to open.
It runs entirely on your own PC. Nothing is uploaded, and it doesn’t touch your sim install.
The landing page has a Get started button and a badge reading Beta · your name · static scan — your reminder that this build has your scanned library baked into it.
Click Get started to go into the map. A couple of things are deliberately switched off in this beta:
- disabled Plan a specific flight / SimBrief — clicking it just says “Disabled in this beta.”
- re-scan Re-scan my sim — reads your library again and rebuilds your data on your own PC, then reloads with a “what’s in your sim” summary (your sceneries grouped by country, aircraft, liveries and GSX). Instant, no re-download. (It’s not a live scan — the app runs on your last snapshot until you hit it.)
- working Everything else: the map, weather, the route panels, and the All-flights board.
The map is your library, drawn out. Every airport you’ve scanned is a pin, coloured by whether you own the scenery:
Click any airport to see the real flights in and out of it. Open a route and the route panel pops up over the map — no page change — showing the ownership-coloured route line, both airports (names, flags, ICAO, scenery developer, live METAR), and a Ground block that Part Two will fill out completely.
Weather / live review: the map can colour airports by current conditions pulled live — clear, windy, rain, storms — so you can pick a flight to match the weather, or go chase a gusty crosswind.
The heart of Part One: a live departure board of real scheduled flights across your whole library at once.
- Sorting: soonest first, off the real timetable and the current time. Flights that already left drop off — but a “Load earlier flights” pill walks you back an hour at a time.
- Weather filters: narrow by conditions at either end — Wind (calm / gusty) and Conditions (clear / rain / storms), departure and arrival separately. The cog tunes what “gusty” means.
- Flags & codes tell you the countries at a glance; the Map button opens that route’s panel. A small △ flags an unusual (positioning / ferry) flight.
This build is Go2Gate Europe, and the rule is simple: it includes flights where both ends are European airports. Scope is defined by the route, not the airline — a Europe-to-Europe leg is in; anything that leaves Europe at either end is out.
- Airports in scope: the EU, UK, Ireland, Norway, Switzerland, Iceland, the Balkans, Ukraine, Greenland, the Canaries, Cyprus and western Russia. (Not Turkey, not North Africa — those belong to another region.)
- Flights in scope: any scheduled service between two of those airports — London→Barcelona, Manchester→Dublin, Oslo→Munich, Palma→Berlin, and thousands more.
- Airlines in scope: whoever flies those routes — Ryanair, easyJet, British Airways, Lufthansa, Wizz Air, Vueling, KLM, Air France, SAS, Aer Lingus, ITA Airways, TAP, Eurowings and dozens more. Nationality is irrelevant — the route is what counts.
Out of scope (for now) — because the other end leaves Europe:
- London Heathrow → Cairo is a short hop, but it crosses into North Africa — so it ships with the Middle East & North Africa pack, not here.
- Dublin → Boston leaves Europe for the Americas — so it comes with Go2Gate Americas.
- Same for any long-haul out of a European airport — British Airways, Qatar, Emirates, United, American, Delta. These airlines fly all over the world; the flight simply belongs to the region it flies to.
Go2Gate grows with you: each new pack switches on its region’s airports and the flights that connect to them. Europe is just the first — the map fills in as the packs roll out.
Gate & ground intelligence
Part One tells you what to fly. Part Two tells you exactly where, on the ground — the detail no other tool gives you.
- Real gate & stand per flight. Go2Gate reads Flightradar24’s actual gate-departure and gate-arrival data, so it can tell you the real-world stand that flight uses — not a random parking spot.
- Auto-built GSX Pro profiles. Go2Gate generates GSX airport profiles from the sim’s own stand data plus real-world pushback geometry, so your ground handling lines up with reality airport by airport — no hand-editing.
- Taxi & pushback. The route panel’s Ground block fills out with the stand, taxi routing and pushback direction for each end of your flight.
Captain Speaking — the voices
Stock GSX gives you one ground voice, everywhere on Earth. Go2Gate gives every country in Europe its own native accent. Push back at Dublin and you get a Dublin voice. At Naples, a Neapolitan-Italian one. At Bergen, a Scandinavian one. Nothing ever falls back to a generic voice — that’s the whole point.
Every European country is mapped to a real regional accent — male and female — each recording all 23 pushback and ground calls, five different takes apiece so the delivery never repeats. That’s the layer that makes a flight feel like a flight.

Turkey and North Africa aren’t forgotten — their accents (Turkish and more) ship with the Asia & Middle East pack, so they’re handled in their own region rather than faked with a European voice.
