Why some aircraft aren't in Go2Gate

Why some aircraft in your hangar don't appear in Go2Gate — and what “in scope” actually means.

Go2Gate is built around the real-world scheduled airline network — the aircraft airlines actually fly on the routes you're browsing. Own the type, own the livery, own both airports, and a flight shows ready to fly: a genuine scheduled service you can fly for real. That's the whole point.

So your hangar can hold aircraft Go2Gate doesn't list, because no scheduled airline flies them on the network you're looking at. Some are simply never airline aircraft:

  • General aviation — light singles and bizprops like the Cessna 208 or King Air. Great to fly, just not scheduled airline metal.
  • Military — the A400M, C-17 and the like. They show up on the odd real-world positioning leg, but they aren't scheduled service.
  • Historic and retired types — the MD-11, Fokker 50 and 100, Tupolev Tu-154. Long gone from the timetable, kept for nostalgia.
  • Everything else non-airline — warbirds, gliders, helicopters, eVTOLs and so on.
It depends on where you're flying.

Go2Gate is regional — this is Go2Gate Europe, and its scope reflects what Europe's scheduled network flies today. Aircraft come and go by region: a turboprop or older jet with no European scheduled route can still fly daily elsewhere in the world. So a type that's out of scope here may be squarely in scope in another region pack — the fleet list is always matched to the region you're flying, never a judgement on the aircraft. As more region packs arrive, the same hangar will light up different aircraft.

Either way, none of this is a judgement on the add-on. Your aircraft stay in your hangar and you can fly them whenever you like — they're just kept out of Go2Gate's route intelligence for this region so the fleet list stays focused on what the network actually flies. Use the “Hide aircraft that don't appear in Go2Gate” toggle to tidy them all away at once, or the × on any row to hide just one; both are reversible from the Filter panel.

A note on aircraft we couldn't identify. Occasionally a scan can't work out what an add-on is — an unusual folder layout, a missing manifest. Those sit in a separate “unrecognised” group at the foot of the list rather than being dropped. If you think one belongs in Go2Gate, tell us and we'll add it.
